Centro Rural de Arte (Rural Art Center) is a group founded in 2008, based in Argentina, that fosters art projects in rural areas.

 

We carry out residencies, workshops and other projects.

 

All processes are based on the construction of interdisciplinary operative platforms, where artists and people with various knowledge  interact. Thus, we can create the conditions to foster and host projects which are built from specific contexts in order to approach some of the endless variables in each territory.

 

Our activities are nomadic and eventual, which means the actions take place in different moments of the year with a non-pre-set schedule. Since CENTRO RURAL DE ARTE does not count on fixed headquarters, we have alliances with places that can host these experiences temporarily.

 

Taking into account the characteristics of each project, we generate a particular way to register the actions. Since our projects are hybrid, we look for places not limited to the art circuits.

 

CENTRO RURAL DE ARTE aims to generate projects that lead to multiple ways of looking at a certain territory by means of creating a bond between foreign and local authors.
